Partner Project - Movie Night

On Saturday, 27th July, the Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills hosted a memorable movie night supporting the Monash Children's Cancer Centre.

The event brought together 72 Rotarians, Rotaractors, and friends, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

The evening was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and entertainment as attendees enjoyed a film screening of Deadpool & Wolverine. The event not only provided a wonderful opportunity for socializing and networking but also showcased the strong community spirit that defines our club.

We are delighted to share a few photos capturing the highlights of the night.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this special event.

ROTARY IN REVIEW

Rotary’s support is helping Turkey rebuild

Rotary members are committed to creating lasting change – a commitment that’s evident in Rotary’s response to disaster relief. More than a year ago, a powerful earthquake devastated parts of Turkey and Syria and killed more than 55,000 people. Since then, Rotary has delivered more than US$4 million in aid to affected communities. During a recent visit, 2023-24 RI President R. Gordon R. McInally noted how Rotary’s relief efforts and funding continue to create hope in the region. Read more about how Rotary is providing for immediate and long-term needs

FROM THE EDITOR

With the Olympics in full swing, we are reminded of the dedication and hard work that athletes invest to reach such an elite level.
In a raw and inspiring video, we witness what it means to "make the team." The emotions expressed by these athletes are a testament to their dedication and strength.
We want to share this experience with you, allowing you to feel just a fraction of the powerful emotions these athletes convey.
Here are some foundational practices essential for fostering a culture of excellence.

Sacrifice and Commitment: True commitment often requires personal sacrifices. Team members who are willing to go the extra mile and prioritise the team's success over individual gains create a strong, unified group. This level of dedication fosters a deep sense of belonging and purpose within the team.

Goals and High Standards: Setting clear, ambitious goals and maintaining high standards ensures that the team consistently strives for excellence. These goals provide direction and motivation, while high standards ensure that the team's achievements are meaningful and impactful.

Excellence and Care: Striving for excellence means continuously improving and delivering high-quality work. However, this pursuit must be balanced with genuine care for team members' well-being. A supportive environment where excellence is encouraged alongside empathy and support leads to sustainable high performance and a positive team culture.

Let's embrace these principles and work together to create an environment where our teams can thrive, just as Olympic athletes do.
