Tuesday 3 June 2024 evening meeting where after the usual opening activities Leanne conducted some research into:
Why joined Rotary
Why stay
to which there was a wide variety of responses. Leanne indicated this reflected much of what is happening across Rotary. There is great hope in that the alternate club structures and the pleasing growth in Rotaract.
Friday a presentation was made by Dandenong Primary school for the work on bench seats (see previous editions and story below)
John Peck also announced that he will have limited availability in the coming week or so as having body work done (a new knee) on Tuesday 11 June 2024 and members should note that there will be no meeting that day (no correlation between the two events should be implied or inferred )! We wish him well.
DISTRICT CHANGEOVER is 6:30pm 29 June 2024
We will welcome in a new Rotary year and our member Colin being installed as District Governor. All members that can make it should be there and can book at here.
CLUB CHANGEOVER:
Tuesday 9th July at the Dandenong Club - invitations were sent out Thursday so if did not receive, check your junk folder of contact Leanne.
Tuesday 4th June 2024 saw two playgrounds (one with steel posts and the other aluminium posts) dismantled and loaded into custom trailer with the help of Hans, Ben and Terry from the George Andrews reserve in Dandenong. Hans and Ben then took the trailer to Mt Martha where it will be unloaded and refurbished.
While Howard was unable to make this one (due to recent health issues) these are run during the week and we could do with a few more Rotarians volunteering for when some of us cannot make it. Please contact Terry should you be able and willing to assist.
Friday 7 June 2024 representatives of our club (Howard) and Endeavour Hills Mens Shed were thanked and appears to have already been framed!
