President's Message
message on behalf of
Interim President John Peck

We have had another very busy week, beginning with the Lawn Bowls social night on Monday.
Those who attended had a fantastic time, with plenty of fun, fellowship and food which was enjoyed by all.
I was able to pay a visit and enjoy some time with fellow Rotarians when I escaped for a short time from the Inner Wheel function.

Leanne Byron and Peter Faulkner had the privilege of attending the Lyndale Secondary College Presentations on Wednesday evening and were delighted to present 12 x Rotary Awards for
RESPECT, RESILIENCE, RESPONSIBILITY
which were designed by Leanne and printed by Hilton Laminating.
The Lyndale Secondary College values, align very closely with those of Rotary and Rotarians.

Then on Friday, Leanne & I were back there presenting the Scholarship Grant Certificates & textbooks to Principal Pam Robinson, Senior School Assistant Principal and
one of the student recipients.

The relationship we have developed with Lyndale Secondary College is invaluable to both our Club and the school.

Our gratitude and thanks go to Professor Garry Lit Yoong for attending our club a couple of weeks ago as a Guest Speaker and donating all proceeds from his books to the Club for the purchase of
'Peace Poles' for installation at Lyndale Secondary College.

Discussions are also in place for their Indigenous Garden project, thanks to Howard De Zylva for offering to
lead this project in conjunction with Michelle Lewis.

PLEASE NOTE there will NOT be a meeting on Tuesday December 12th.

We hope to see many of you at our Christmas Dinner on Tuesday December 19 for our festive season celebrations.

Cheers,
John Peck & his little elf.
