Dear Fellow Rotarians,
I was really disappointed to have missed last Tuesday's meeting due to COVID.
The feedback I've had is that it all went extremely well. Thank you to Phillip Thurgood for Chairing the meeting and to Sergeant John Peck for his fine session and one of the 'best jokes in the world'.
A huge thanks to Howard & Inger De Zylva for their fantastic presentation on the Sri Lankan Orphanage which will be a new International project for our club.
Thank you Howard for emailing me all the information regarding the Orphanage and the very inspirational young girl who spoke to you all via What's App.
A very warm welcome back and a big thank you to Ghaith Khalil for your very interesting 'Behind the Badge' which was enjoyed by all.
Thank you Howard and Ghaith for putting your presentations together at such short notice, it was greatly appreciated.
I have a couple of member updates to share with you:
Margaret Gunton has had a few health issues lately but of course she is soldiering on as she always does.
Val Bennett's husband Neil is currently in hospital and will be there for at least a few more days.
They're all in good spirits and doing well.
I've been in contact with both Margaret and Val on a regular basis to check on how they're going and they've both been wonderful, checking in on me.
There is no meeting this Tuesday, however some of us will be visiting the Cranbourne Rotary Club for their Green Gecko presentation. If any of you wish to join us, please contact President Scott Pinxt by email - sgpinxt@bigpond.com
OR
text 0466 745 005 asap.
Have a great week and I'll see you all on Tuesday 20th September at the Dandenong Club for our DG Visit & Footy theme night.
All the best,
Leanne
