President's Message
A message from Secretary Leanne, on behalf of
Interim President John Peck

Due to the storms on Tuesday, our club meeting was cancelled at short notice due to power outages at the Dandenong Club.
The D.C. and our Rotary board apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused to members, and we hope you haven't experienced any damage or power disruptions at your homes.

As a result of the cancellation, the Club Planning Meeting had to be postponed to
this Tuesday 20th February.
All members are asked to participate by offering ideas and/or volunteering for positions/committees to help our club move forward productively and positively.
We will also be asking for suggestions for the Club Program.

To those of you who will be attending the Chinese New Year Dinner this week,
on Thursday 24th February, we look forward to seeing you there.

A huge THANK YOU to Kam & Christine Pow for organising this dinner once again at the Shangri La Restaurant in Forest Hill.

This is a FUNDRAISING event once again for
THE MONASH CHILDREN'S CANCER CENTRE.
Thanks to this event and generous donations we raised $10,000 last year.
Our goal and hopes are aiming for $12,000 this year.

I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday night.

Leanne

An enjoyable evening with the Rotaractors.

What an invigorating evening it was, connecting with the Rotaractors and engaging in their meeting.

Rotary Melbourne Soutth East Cluster -
Assistant Governor Leanne Byron and soon-to-be
President-Elect, John Ternel, were enthusiastically and very warmly welcomed by these amazing young people.

Leanne & John were genuinely inspired by the fervor
of the next generation of Rotarians.
Their conversations about the forthcoming community fundraising BBQ and ball at Whitehorse were notably commendable.
It was also great to have John Leng and his friend Matt in attendance, they are keen prospective members.

Keep up the remarkable efforts and steadfast commitment to serving your community's needs.

John Ternel's  update for this week

Online Ticket Sales are going well.
We have 84 Judged and 13 show entries that
have been registered and tracking with similar numbers as the previous car shows.
Sponsor CDM Trimming deposited $3k into our bank account and donated two trophies for best interior (pre and post 1997) and new sponsors RevHigh and Speedparts (both in Hallam) have come on board with a stall and donation of prizes. Flyer revised and finalised with new sponsors listed on it. See above

The Rotary Club of Narre Warren is starting to send through volunteer names and John will visit their club in the near future to provide them with an update.
If you haven't put your hand up to help, please reach out to John Ternel.
We can all make a difference.
TUESDAY'S MEETING:

On Tuesday night we have a
CLUB PLANNING meeting (moved from last week due to power outages which caused the D.C. to close.

We hope to see all of you at the meeting, with
lots of enthusiasm and wonderful ideas for our program.
Please give some consideration as to how you
would like to make a positive difference to the
club.
We will be asking for volunteers for Committees and other roles and would like members with diverse skills and ideas to put their names down for their committee of choice.

Your input will be greatly appreciated.
