Although it is a registered charity Disaster Aid Australia is a project of Dandenong and Endeavour Hills Rotary that delivers international aid, principally to 'Developing Countries' in the Asia Pacific Region.

It was founded by four members of the Rotary Club

It is supported by Rotary Clubs across Australia.

Our Two Programs

Smart Aid is a Disaster Response Program.

We respond to disasters such as Earthquakes, Typhoons, Floods, Volcanic Eruptions helping affected communities to recover.

Rather than delivering a 'Western Solution' our volunteers travel to the disaster region and find out what the communities really want and then aim to purchase required materials as locally as possible.

As we have found that most disasters result in a lack of safe water we do take our SmartAid Ultrafilters that can provide 5,000 litres/day of bacteria free water.
Safe Water for Every Child is a response to the ongoing disaster of billions of people not having access to safe drinking water.

Our response is to provide SmartAid UltraFilters as permanent installations for communities.

Each installation can provide 10,000 litres/day of bacteria free water.

The filter if properly maintained will last for ten years before the membrane needs replacing.

Individual nstallations can be sponsored for $6,000
